About Kaštela City

Marina Kaštela is located in Kaštel Gomilica – one of the seven settlements sharing the name of Kaštela. The mediaeval fortresses of Kaštela, originally built for defence purposes, have now become tourist sites. One of them, called Kaštilac, is located right next to the Marina.

The romantic atmosphere of the unique fortress in Kaštel Gomilica inspired the producers of the popular TV series Game of Thrones, who decided to use it as a
filming location in the show’s fifth season.

About Marina Kaštela

Marina Kaštela is located in Kaštel Gomilica, at the heart of the Kaštela Bay, sheltered by the imposing Kozjak mountain, offering picturesque views of the Marjan peninsula and the island of Čiovo. Situated between the historic cities of Split, Solin, and Trogir, within driving distance from the Split Airport (7 km), it stands as one of the region’s most advanced and expansive marinas.

It secures 420 sea berths complete with water and electricity connections, 200 on-land boat berths, a robust 60-tonne crane, and comprehensive boat servicing facilities. Moreover, its breakwater, approximately 500 metres in length, with sea depth ranging between 8 and 11 metres, is engineered to accommodate even the largest mega yachts.

The Marina Kaštela Sailing Centre

The Marina Kaštela Sailing Centre is a newly-built facility on the south-eastern dyke of the Marina, designed by the renowned architecture firm RieglerRiewe. The Centre comprises three floors, with changing rooms, sanitary facilities and rooms for referees, as well as a hangar of 200 m2 with an 815 cm-high door, for the purpose of boat measurement before competitions.

A plateau of 4700 m2 surrounds the Centre, with a   ramp on its northern side allowing for 70 sailboats to enter at the same time.

There is a berthing area on the coast south of the Centre. The 900-metre promenade that encircles the Centre is a unique visual feature, giving the whole area a special appeal.

The regatta field, located next to the Sailing Centre, is the venue of numerous World and European competitions, and it also hosts preparations of world-famous sailors who take advantage of the ideal conditions on the sea during winter.

The Sailing Centre also includes the restaurant Spinnaker with a lounge bar, an outdoor terrace (pergola) and a VIP terrace and inside the marina there is also an indoor 25-meter swimming pool!
